The last 90 days of 2024
There are 90 days left in 2024. Let’s make the most of them.
You likely have goals you want to achieve – losing weight, learning a new skill, saving more money…
But the fall is also the time of year when it’s easiest to settle into old habits and put your goals on hold.
The weather is changing. The kids are back in school. Work is picking up.
There are a million reasons to go on autopilot and simply let the rest of the year play out without accomplishing anything remarkable or out of the ordinary.
But I must warn you; settling comes at a cost:
❌ General malaise / apathy toward work, life, career, fitness, friends, etc.
❌ A low-grade nagging feeling in the back of your mind that you want something different
❌ Minimal change in your life (no weight loss, same income, and no additional savings) resulting in even less energy and motivation to try.
What if – instead of settling – you treated the last 90 days of 2024 as the most important?
Important doesn’t mean “intense” or “high pressure.”
It means choosing to make the most of the time that’s left.
It’s about honoring your life and your goals.
It feels good to reset. And that’s often where our best results come from.
But of course, you’ll need to get good at a few things:
✅ Letting go of past “failures”
✅ Dialing down self critique
✅ Tapping into what you really want
✅ Giving yourself PERMISSION to go after these things.
That last point is important – permission to go after it.
Chances are you’ve given up on some of your goals. They no longer seem realistic.
But the good news is that you only need one thing in order to bring them back to life: PERMISSION to try again.
This is the quality that great athletes and leaders possess.
They don’t allow setbacks to keep them from trying again.
When they fail, they give themselves permission to try again. This means acknowledging what didn’t work, letting it be ok, and then trying again with even more energy and determination than the first time.
With 90 days left in 2024, you have an incredible opportunity to get back up and try again.
When you give yourself permission, you’ll get great results:
💪 More energy and momentum
💪 Greater sense of purpose and self esteem
💪 Accomplishing concrete goals like weight loss or saving money
💪 Landing a role that is absolutely right for you
It’s not about forcing yourself into action. It’s about permission to pursue the things that you KNOW will make you happier.
Doing this will require you to get uncomfortable stepping outside the inertia of your established routines.
You can’t allow comfort / complacency to dictate which goals you set or the number of times you’ll try to achieve them.
It’s a practice, and you may need support.
